Hello everyone!!!
It's been almost a month since I met Randy Harrison, but even though it was a long time ago, I can still write about it. I was there... I remember everything... perfectly.

I can't really find the time to make comics anymore... that doesn't mean I never will, just that it will take time.
However, I still doodle here and there. The other day I had what I like to call an "it's a Kind of Magic" moment. I have a cap from 311, after Brian reopens the backroom and they kiss in the blue lights, as a picture on my desktop. And for some reason, I felt like I had to draw it.
Grabbed a pen, a piece of paper, and... well, see for yourself-

I'm so excited... Randy Harrison is coming to Israel, and I'm going to see him tomorrow. I'll be sure to film it! [That is if I can keep the camera from shaking...]
Also, he'll be meeting fans on Saturday. Do you think I'll look like a total dork if I asked him to sign a picture of himself? plus, I can't even begin to think of words to say!

...And I still love Queer as Folk. I really do.
I thought after the last season, my love for the show would naturally die out... fortunately, that never happened. I still adore all the characters, the storyline and yes, I love QAF marathons. I never grow tired of them!
I love Queer as Folk.
Always have, always will.
And I love this fandom, even if it's not as active as it used to be. I know, since I myself don't update very often, that just because you're not active doesn't mean you stopped loving the show.
Can you hear the thumpa thumpa?

Yup, took some time, but it's really hard to... well... deliberately suck XD You'll see what I mean soon.
Do you remember [I've been traumatized for life] the infamous CAPSLOCK!GIRL who wrote a very... um... interesting QAF fic? I've decided I'll turn it into a comic!
[If you don't know who she is or what she wrote, than this comic will make absolutely no sense to you. It wouldn't even if you did, but... ya know, just sayin'.]
I have to warn you... this crack!comic is so wrong on so many levels, I almost regret making it. Let's call it a tribute to Bad!fics everywhere, shall we? :D

| A Queer as Folk... nightmare? |

I just woke up from a nightmare, realizing it was all QAF-related.
It never happened before. I mean, I had QAF dreams in the past, but never a nightmare that woke me up, all terrified and shaking.
( It's probably not canon, but dreams aren't supposed to be anyway )
In other news...
I went to my newly born nephew's Brith [when they take an 8yr old baby and cut of his foreskin], it's nothing like they portrayed on the show. But I guess it's because my brother is religious.
I won't elaborate, I'll just say there was a lot of blood but the baby didn't cry as much as I expected he would. I spent most of the time with my other nephews.
It's only after the covenant that the parents get to choose a name for the child. Guess what they decided to call him?
Abraham. I couldn't believe it! He can survive school with a name like that, at least in Israel.
And apart from that... I have one more frame to finish in the comic tribute to CAPSLOCK!Girl, if you remember. So get ready, it's coming soon! |

| Two killed in shooting at Tel Aviv gay center |

A gunman shot dead two people and wounded at least 15 others in an attack at a central Tel Aviv gay and lesbian center Saturday night before fleeing the scene.
Israel Police said that the incident at the club on Nahmani Street did not have a terror motive. The two victims were initially identified as a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman.
Witnesses told Israeli television that the black-clad, masked gunman stormed into the Tel Aviv Gay and Lesbian Association building and opened fire in a basement room where gay teenagers were holding a weekly support group.
Most of the casualties were minors, a police spokesman said, adding that the assailant was believed to have used an automatic weapon such as an M-16 rifle. The police had closed all the gay clubs in the area following the attack.
Witnesses said the gunman entered the center at around 11 P.M. and opened fire in all directions.

I don't live very close to Tel Aviv, and yet I have friends of friends who were wounded. Some close friends of mine were actually supposed to be there last night. The news shocked me, I didn't think such a thing could still happen. This is, by far, the worst attack against the Israeli LGBT community. |

| BAD news, but also some good news |

First case of death from Swine Flu in Israel, and it had to happen in my hometown, Eilat. When I first heard the news, I freaked out. It's a very small city, the kind of city where you walk down the street and meet up to 15 people you know. I try to avoid open spaces. And now every time I get a migraine, I wanna rush to the hospital, but then think twice and stay home. THIS SUCKS. Not to mention the religious groups who disagree with the term "swine" because it's not kosher. Yeah, that's what we should be worry about. the NAME of the flu.
Onto the happy news, I finally bought the FIRST SEASON OF QUEER AS FOLK ON DVD!!! *SQUEE*
Now I only need seasons 4 and 5, and my collection will be complete! BWAHAHAHA!!!
Now if I could only get the damn DVD machine to work...

Also, this Friday is Gay Pride Day in my city, with it's annual gay pride parade! they've already hung up the rainbow flags along the city, and I have a T-shirt that says "Everytime you see a rainbow, GOD is having GAY SEX"! sounds like something Brian might wear XD
Well... maybe not wear, but I can definitely imagine him saying something like that XD |

The radio was playing some oldies and suddenly, guess what song comes up?
Save the Last Dance For Me. The same version as the one on QAF.
I turned up the volume and started singing with my dad who was in the car and he knew the song... it was the best.
